Kransalger är en viktig nyckelart i Östersjön. De förökar sig med hjälp av oosporer och denna studie har syftat till att urskilja morfologisk differentiering mellan oosporer inom och mellan individer och populationer. Främst ställde jag mig frågan huruvida skillnader och likheter i morfologi kan associeras med skillnader mellan olika geografiska avstånd och habitat samt i vilken mån oosporer kan återföras till korrekt population och individ. Kransalger av arten Chara aspera har insamlats på lokaler i östra Svealand och elliptiska Fouriertransformationer har använts för att med hjälp av vågfunktioner beskriva oosporernas konturer. Parametrarna i vågfunktioner har sedan använts för statistiska analyser.

This report documents the process of designing a laboratory exercise in Fourier analysis at Vetenskapens Hus (House of Science) in Stockholm. The lab is designed for high school students studying science or technical education. It focuses on the physicalunderstanding and mathematical description of sound, in particular music. A model of such a lab is presented in this work; containing a review of the mathematical theory, summary of educational research in the field, descriptions of the design process and of the investigativework that led to the final result. The designed material for the lab includes developed computer programs, visit leader tutorial and description for teachers. .

This paper aims to investigate the embalming process and the Balanites aegyptiaca from two pottery originated in ancient Egypt. The two objects were from Medelhavsmuseet in Stockholm. Samples were collected and analyzed with Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry to identify which components the samples contained. The results show complex mixtures mainly consisting of resin origin from Pinaceae and the vegetable oils from the Balanites aegyptiaca..

The aim of this project was to develop a product which gives one or more objects of daily use an additional function. Thru the creativity of children the object shall transform into a new source for play for pre-school children.The purpose of this work was to research how fantasy and free play of children could be enhanced. I wanted to know how I can motivate children to use their fantasy transforming objects into new sources for play.This was achieved by means of developing a number of different prototypes which I tested in Kindergarden. My observations lead to the development of a cloth-wrap for the chair which provides the required source for ongoing role-play. My project is an interpretation and exploration of the book The Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. It is a play on the swedish words for cities and beaches. By adding the letters R and N the word for cities in the title transforms into the word for beaches. The project is equal parts a color investigation and an exploration of new working methods as it is an development of my approch to graphic design. GPGPU is a collective term for research involving general computation on graphics cards. A modern graphics card typically provides more than ten times the computational power of an ordinary PC processor. This is a result of the high demands for speed and image quality in computer games.This thesis investigates the possibility of exploiting this computational power for image processing purposes. Three well known methods where implemented on a graphics card: FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), KLT (Kanade Lucas Tomasi point tracking) and the generation of scale pyramids. Speedledger is a company that is working to automate electronic accounting for businesses, organizations and associations.In the current situation bank data is sent from the users internet bank to Speedledger via a virtual printer driver. The driver transforms the web page into a PDF and sends it to a server for interpretation.The problem is that PDF is not created for this sort of data transfer and makes the interpretation of data is very problematic.The goal of the thesis is to study whether there is a possibility to develop a browser add-on that can retrieve information on the customer's banking page and send it on to Speedledgers server for interpretation. My task was to implement a add-on for one of the three major browsers Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then study the possibility of implementing it to the other two by reading the documentation.What I concluded was that it is possible to implement for all the three browsers.
